17th Century Italian Coin Cabinet from Genoa
A stunning Genoese carved walnut coin cabinet with twenty-two drawers created to hold secrets from 17th century. This Italian Louis XIV coin cabinet features an extraordinary architectural form with sixteen drawers centered by a carved naked male figure standing out in the niche of the central body with aedicule.
The side edges are decorated with warriors and carved figures. The coin cabinet rests on a jutting frame and two bracket feet while the upper part has a frame with a carved tooth decoration. The central door reveals to six drawers hiding many secrets.
