A dark bronze casting sleeping Venus figure, awakening and lying on a soft cushion. The bronze sculpture is signed lower left E Sala, the Italian Milanese sculptor and painter Eliseo Sala (Milan 1813-1879). This bronze sculpture is in good condition, resting on a rectangular dark green marble basement and dating back to the late 19th century. With a beautiful brown patina, this casting Italian antique bronze figure comes from a private collection of Milan.
