Extraordinary original processional torch, a mobile two-part candlestick to be mounted and sticked into the ground. It is of Italian origin and dates back to late 18th century.

It consist of two parts to be mounted, an octagonal shaped oak rod decorated with engraved iron elements and an iron tip to be sticked into the ground. The upper part has  four armed iron candle holder mounted on a turned wooden stem with a brass hook, may be to be hanged as  wall bracket.

This is  a very unusual and rare antique candlestick used as light source,  a mobile travel torch to be mounted whenever light is required.
