Art Nouveau Scottish Mackintosh Style Cabinet Carved Oak Floral Copper
2.800,00

Lovely Art Nouveau small cabinet, a solid carved oak Scottish furniture, with four doors and three asymmetric pigeon holes, circa 1910. Nature inspires the decoration of this antique cabinet, in the style of Glasgow school and the manner of Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928) design.
Doors are decorated with four copper panels, hand-embossed with lovely floral and foliate patterns, as well as the upper part is topped by a central carving with foliate motive.
Working key, superlative brass stylized foliate keyhole escutcheons.

Many shelves inside, this small cabinet may be suitable for any interior.
The oak has just a lovely sandblasting wax finish, which may give a fading look but it is in good condition, with wear consistent with age and use, minor old restorations, see last four listed closed-up pictures. It comes from a villa in the country near Milano.

Sizes: 183 cm height by 77 cm width and 37.5 cm depth.

Period: 1900
