Antique chest of drawer with flap, Italian solid larch wood slant front bureau desk dating back to mid 19th century. Antique wooden furniture typical of the Italian Alps of North Italy, this bureau, completely handcrafted in larch it is far from rustic. Front with three deep drawers, a fall-front opening to reveal a fitted interior with a compartment and seven drawers.
Carved, curved, side freezes are applied on the corners.
We have bought it in a private house of Milan, we have removed previous varnish and the bureau has now the original natural larch color, rough finish. Anyhow it could be either polished or painted. Good condition.
