Pair of 19th Century Neoclassical Gilded Bronze urns from Italy. A pair of amphora shaped vases in mercury gilded and polished bronze. Very small center vases, featuring a fluted body and two double-scroll handles, these antique bronze portapalme, this is the Italian name of this sort of vases, rest on a square base with feet. Inside an iron rod. As shown in the bottom, see closed up listed picture.
These lovely small gilt bronze vases come from a private Italian collection and are in good age related condition. They could be suitable, if wired, as small lamp bases for bedsides or wall brackets or just placed on a furniture as decorative vases.
Thanks to their classical design, they could be placed in a contemporary interior too. Italian origin, they date back to early 1800.
The urns feature classical scrolling motifs and scalloped edges. This pair of urns is stunning, and ready to decorate any home for years to come.
