From Italy a rare pair of 18th century gilt wrough iron hanging lantern brackets  with their original pulleys. They come from an ancient castle in the Ossola Valley, in Northern Italy and are real rare finds from Italy.

We found them with a gold varnish finish that has been partially removed to show traces of their original 18th century gilding.

These hanging lantern holders are fully handmade with   elegant scrolling patterns,  are in good age related condition, with  only  a missing curl in the lower part of one item.

Really lovely  the candle holder spike near the top of the square, closed to  the  upper  gracefully curve  scrolling arm.
