Saint John the Baptist, Late 17th century Italian carved and painted Sculpture. This Italian religious work, of Bolognese origin, is made of carved linden wood, and dates back to late 17th century.

It comes from a private collection of Milan and shows minor losses.

The figure wears a long red tunic with a red robe draped over his shoulder. The saint is seated on a the rock formation near a  a trunk.
