Pair of Italian Florentine Sconces with Mirror by Bartolozzi & Maioli 1950 circa
A 20th century pair of decorative Italian Florentine sconces, foliate hand-carving, four armed mirrored wall lights, large size polychrome sconces painted with bordeaux and green accents and silver-leaf mecca finish by Bartolozzi & Maioli in Florence.
Four-light wall sconces inspired to a reliquary shape, with curved iron arms ending with E14 candle bulbs and an oval small mirror in the upper part.
Coming from Tuscany, from a private Rustico near Florence, they are in good condition, with wear consistent with use, minor painting losses and a distressed, shaded finish.
Italian working wiring. They date back to the Mid-20th century.
They are very decorative, with a deep carving, nice original patination and lovely proportions.
