An original early 19th-century engraving print, Milan Cathedral Square and the Duomo.

A stunning hand-coloured engraving, depicts the spectacular Gothic cathedral or Duomo in Milan, the largest church in Italy and the fifth largest in the world. Brightly dressed figures traverse the square in front. The Coperto del Figini on the left .
The colourist has deftly painted shadows and gradations of colour.

The etching is edited by Zucoli, hand-watercolor decorated by Citterio around 1830 circa.

Set within a passe-partout and cherry frame decorated by bronze rosettes in each corner. Good age related condition, general age-related toning, wear consistent with age and use.
