Iron planter made with a percussion instrument, a tympanum of the Italian company Camillo Sambruna of Milan, active from 1876-1923 as per the brass royal coat of arms mounted on the instrument.
This Italian factory was specialized in brass and wind musical instruments of high quality as evidenced by the precision of the construction mechanics of the coulisse interlocking of the feet. It is a very original and unusual interior planter and outdoor garden elements, in good condition. Missing parchment, the drum bowl is in good condition. See pictures.
It comes from the patio of a Lombard villa.
