Italian Antique Carved Wooden Lectern 1600s, fascinating lectern, a Lombard manufacture from the late 17th century. made of carved dark wood, foldable, has the two hinged support elements in the middle, carved with plant motifs and connected at the centre by a similarly turned crossbar that allows the lectern to be scissor-folded, to make it mobile, openable when needed.

The uprights at the ends are joined by crossbars with the same carving. The cloth top is missing its original leather covering, only traces of which can be seen on the profiles, edged with studs. The general state of preservation is discreet, with some faults compatible with the date, see a foot to be integrated to improve its stability. A possible restoration is not included in the price.
