19th century  Italian specimen marble and stone panel bought as souvenir by an English Grand Tourist during the late 19th century and then framed with a shaped gilded plaster frame of English origin.

Good condition, the 27 oval stones are inserted in a dark textile panel.  Lapislazuli, malachite, alabaster, antique yellow, serpentine, antique green, green porphyry, Siena yellow, red porphyry, African and much more.

These charming shades of marbles and stones are a rare Italian wall decoration a must have for Grand Tour collectors.
