French Empire gilt bronze and crystal ten-light chandelier, ormolu frame decorated by casting and chiseled vegetal elements and shaped beaded garlands.
This fine gilt-bronze crystal tent and bag chandelier has an upper corona in the form of a crown made of small facetted pearls above a fine bronze band, from which is suspended chains of graduated crystal pearls.
Five gilt bronze arms suitable for Edison 14 light bulbs + further 5 Edison 27 lights inside the crystal balloon cage, the lower basket.
Good condition. New wiring for European standard. T
his is a romantic Empire chandelier, hanged in a private residence of Milan but of French origin and dating back to 19th century.
