Early 18th Century Pair of Rococo Candlesticks Carved Mecca Silver-Leaf Wood
2.000,00€
From Lucca, a lovely pair of early 18th century Italian candleholders, two circular candlesticks realized in Cembran pinewood, with a polylobed carving and a silver-leaf mecca finish.
They come from a private noble Tuscan villa of Lucca and are in good age related condition, with wear consistent with use, wax traces and natural oxidation of silver-leaf coating.
In Italy this rather small candlestick model is the so-called panettone shaped candle holder, to define the rounded circular shape.
