Annibale De Lotto Italian bronze fisher boy Sculpture featuring a semi nude young boy figure, a standing fisher boy getting bit by a crab on his foot holding up his right leg, observing the crab bite.
Realized in the early 20th century, thisl large bronze boy figure has a beautiful dark brown patina, it is in good age related condition and comes from a private Milanese collection.

Standing on an naturalistic basement with the crab, signed on the back De lotto, by the Italian artist Annibale De Lotto (San Vito di Cadore 1877 – Venezia 1932). Marble basement is oval shaped and is 5 cm high. The bronze figure only is 101 cm high. The maximum depth of the sculpture, from hand to foot, is 65 cm.

The dark brown patina of this almost naked figure is absolutely gorgeous and the cast sculpture is finely detailed and refined, with beautiful twist movement of the bust and great plasticity.
