Carnations Still Life by Licinio Barzanti
A beautifully painted oil on panel painting of a still life study depicting red,white and pink carnation flowers arranged in a free composition, a bouquet without any vase, painted with bright colors and a strong chiaroscuro contrast with the dark background.
Indeed a very good quality painting signed lower right by the Italian artist Licinio Barzanti (Forlì 1857 – Como 1944), having an exhibition in London in 1888, Genoa and Florence.
The painting dates back to early 20th century and it is in great conditions, with a 1940’s cream color wooden frame with gilded profiles, measuring 58 x 48 cms.
