A Burmese 18th Century Bronze Buddha with small pointed hair locks Shwebo Thorns, on top attached with a tall flame. The eyes of this Buddha are downcast with arched eyebrows, the long ear loops and smiling lips, all expounding a serene expression.
The Buddha seated in the Lotus position, Vajrasana, on a three tiers base.
His right hand is in the gesture of touching the Earth Bhumisparsa mudras and his left hand is in meditative position holding myrobalan fruit.

This antique sculpture is in good condition, with a beautiful patina and shows a Burmese inscription along the entire perimeter of the base.
Provenance:
An Italian Milanese private collection, acquired in Hong Kong, early 1980s, as per the attached certificate of antiquity by the C.P.Ching Fine Oriental Art.
