Alceste Campriani The Parrot Walk at a Victorian London Zoo. Late 19th Century oil on wooden panel painting depicting elegant ladies in late 19th century dress walking and admiring colourful parrots on perches.
The painting is signed lower left A. Campriani -London comes from a private Milanese collection and is set on a frame with a brass plate with the Italian artist name Alceste Campriani (Terni 1848 – Lucca 1933).
The panel only measures cm 17,7 x 37 cm and is inspired to the Gustave Doré (Strasburg , 6 gennaio 1832 – Paris, 23 gennaio 1883) work entitled The Parrot Walk at a Victorian London Zoo.
