Albert Schickedanz Portrait of a Lady Late 1800s watercolor painting on cardboard signed vertically in red on the left of the lady. Albert Schickedanz (Bielsko-Biala 1846- Budapest 1915) was a Hungarian painter. The painting is presented within a sumptuous and elaborate ornately decorated pastille frame, in good condition, and comes from a private collection in Milan.
Albert Schickedanz was an Austro-Hungarian architect and painter in the eclectic style.Schickedanz was born in Biala, present-day Poland, Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, to an ethnic German family. His paintings are exhibited in Paris, France at the Orsay Museum.
