A superb Italian luster majolica vase by the Rubboli family of Gualdo Tadino, Italy. The Rubboli Factory, started by Paolo Rubboli in 1873, is famous for its reproductions of Renaissance majolica pieces and lusterware. Production is extremely limited due to the process required and care given to each completely hand painted piece. This vase is marked on the bottom A. Rubboli Gualdo T. The decoration is particularly rich in gold and blue, with stylized dragon shaped handles and floral decorations. the entire piece has a luster surface. Probably dates to the the first half of 20th century, in overall good conditions except very small chips.
