A mid 19th century Italian ceramic warmer, a circular basket from the Val di Chiana in Tuscany, brown background decorated with with floral motifs. small leaves and spiral applications in Siena yellow and green terracotta. There are some small minimal losses in some leaves.
Originally it was filled with hot embers, topped with ash and it was used for heating as warmer. It dates back to 1850s circa.
