19th Century Ceroplast of Northern European origin, probably German, polychrome wax composition depicting a genre scene with four figures dressed in 17th-century clothing depicted in a festive moment, the two figures on the left are dancing, while the two musicians seated on a bench on the right of the composition are playing wind instruments. In the center, resting on the grass of the lawn, is a large pitcher with the initials LMM. The figures in relief are without a background as they rest on a wax plane. The frame is in ochre lacquered wood with green interior outlines. In good condition. The back side shows a typewritten label with the German title : Nr. 132 Tanzgruppe mit Dudelsackpfeifer -dance group with bagpiper.
