Pair of Renaissance style mid-18th century two-arm Italian sconces, curved hand-forged arms decorated with wooden elements and ending with turned giltwood bobeches. Feature a lovely giltwood back panel with shaped foliate carving.
Tuscan origin, dating back to 1750s they come from a private villa in Tuscany where they were unwired and used as wall candleholders, antique wall candelabra. Good condition, great patina, minor gilding losses consistent with age and use.
These two antique Italian iron wall candleholders have been wired for European standards, suitable for Edison 14 light bulbs.
