17th Century Polychrome Painted Basement, rectangular shaped hand-realized in poplar wood, decorated in polychrome tempera with floral and vegetal motifs on both front and  sides.

It is presumably the supporting element of an almsgiver or devotional sculpture, for ecclesiastical use, considering the opening on the top and the inscription inside the alms box  Lo dio de limosna Greg. Becerraibiedma ano 1661.

Good condition, wear consistent with age and use. It is a lovely antique base for a sculpture. Italian origin.
