This 18th century hand-colored avian engraving from the Natural History of Birds by Saverio Manetti, printed on laid paper,  titled was drawn and engraved by Violante Vanni for Saverio Manetti’s (1724-1783) Storia Naturale degli Uccelli Trattata con Metodo e Adornata di Figure Intagliate in Rame e Miniate al Naturale, Natural History of the Birds Treated Systematically and Adorned with Copperplate Engraving Illustrations, in Miniature and Life-Size.
Published in Florence 1767-1776.
Plate size: 45 by 35 cm. Set within modern wooden frame under glass. Good age related condition. Saverio Manetti (1724-1783), was an Italian physician, botanist and ornithologist.
