The structure consists of a rectangular base with four slightly curved legs, which lend a sense of lightness and grace to the entire composition and an apron beneath the tabletop decorated with rich carvings of foliage motifs and symmetrical scrolls converging toward a central shell-shaped element (rocaille), typical of the decorative repertoire of the period. Finally, a slanted support surface is characterized by a frame with geometric carvings engraved on a \u201czig-zag\u201d or herringbone-patterned plaster ground, creating an interesting contrast with the curved lines of the base. The lectern is made of Swiss pine and features gold leaf gilding, likely applied over a red gouache ground (Armenian bolus), visible in areas of greater wear. The current patina suggests natural aging that enhances its historical charm, alternating between glossy areas and areas where the wood or white ground (plaster) is visible.
