Antique Italian ballot urn shaped wooden box, carved and painted, coming from Tuscany, Monte San Savino near Arezzo in Central Italy. This ballot urn is an excellent example of a 17th century wooden voting box consisting of two urn shaped carved vases, connected by a unique circular opening, with red and blue painting. Each vase has painted on the top SI and NO, YES \/ NO, in order to distinguish for and against votes on paper, then collected in two separate small drawers.
