Fontana, by the Italian painter Daniele Fontana (1900-1984).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Set in a later frame, with textile passe-partout, this antique Italian mountain painting depicts the view of \u00a0the Church of Santo Stefano in Cernobbio in the foreground, portrayed with the underlying relaxing mountain \u00a0scenary and the typical hilly landscape of Lake Como, view traced by the terraced vineyards.<\/p>\n Daniele Fontana (Milan, 1900 – Sala Comacina, 1984)<\/strong> was an Italian \u00a0illustrator and painter.<\/p>\n Born in Milan, he often worked in Rome. As figurative and genre painter,\u00a0he took part in the National Exhibition of Milan (1923, 1925), at the Trade Fair (1928, 1932), becoming a regular guest at the La Permanente exposition.<\/p>\n Great caricaturist has collaborated in Il Travaso delle idee and with Bertoldo. His is also the representation of “turreted woman” of Italy, for years the official symbol of the government and of the Italian state.<\/p>\n He died in Sala Comacina, Como, in 1984.<\/p>\n Period: 1927<\/p>\n Article size in centimeters:
