The painted ivory plate only measures 18 x 13,5 cms, set within a gilt bronze and ebonized wood frame.
This artwork is in good condition, signed Romley in the lower right side and comes from a private Milanese collection.

The lady is wearing an elegant blue off the shoulder dress, has an elaborate curls hairstyle, with rare and precious jewelry ornaments, earrings and hair-brooch of possible Borbonic taste.
These impressive decorative elements make us think of this unknown lady as a member of the noble class, aristocracy of Southern Italy.
