Pair of Empire Gilt Bronze Fireplace Candlesticks, dating to the first decades of 19th century, of French origin, in good age related condition.
Circular candle holders on stepped square bases. Bronze casting, fire mercury gilding and chisel are excellent.
They come from a private house of Milan.
Wear consistent with use, minor gilding wear in the upper part of both vases.
Height of 30.5 cm would be suitable for ta pair of Empire ormolu able lamps.

Pair of antique cast gilt bronze table lamps, two gilded and chiseled candlesticks with superlative gilding. Of French origin, they come from a private house of Milan and have a round ivory color shades. Good Condition, wear consistent with use, see close-up picture details. Working wiring for Italian standard, one Edison 27 light-bulb.
Sizes: Height 49 cm - 26 cm is the candlestick height only. Diameter: 30 cm shade and 13,5 cm is the candlestick base diameter.
A stunning pair of Empire four-light gilt bronze figural candelabra, of French origin, dating back to 1810 circa. Extraordinary high-quality casting, chasing, engraving and mercury gilding.
Each flambeau has four curved branches decorated with floral patterns, ending with palm leaves and wax cups or bobéches are flower-shaped. Candle holders issuing from a torch, held by putti balancing on a round globe. Both cherubs have a perfect anatomy, with curled hair and a spectacular chiseled plumage wings. The candelabra are mounted on a stepped square base measuring 13 x 13 centimeters .
In overall excellent condition, with the exception of old restorations on a garland, an index finger and a leaf top missing.
They come from a luxury villa at Como Lake..
We have disassembled both works for cleaning and each item consists of 38 pieces and a globe edge is engraved with monogram M.B, may be initials of the artisan maker.
Each piece is characterized by a superb casting, chasing, engraving and mercury gilding and must be made by a great French fondeur-ciseleur of Empire period.
Pair of silver Neoclassic Candlesticks, Hallmarked Milan, 1820 by Liverti Francesco, a circular foot engraved with leafy and geometric edges. Neoclassical motif on edge of base of each candlestick is repeated on bottom of the fluted tapered column of each, under each candle cup. The base of each column is finely decorated with flowers and grape branches.
Small wear near the candle cup and base, consistent with use and age, early 19th century dating.
The two antique candle holders come from the furnishings of a Lombard villa on Como lake, where they were mounted as lamps, as shown the small hole on the edge of the base of each item.
On the bases they are hallmarked with the plow related to the silver title (800/000), the globe with the seven trionos related to the Guarantee Office of Milan from 1812 to 1872 and the silvermaker initials, F.L. relative to Francesco Liverti active in Milan until 1820.
The candlesticks weigh 276 grams and 291 grams, respectively. Measures: 10,5 inches high x over 4,5 inches diameter across base of each.
