Pair of 19th Century Large Italian Empire Chandeliers Sixteen-light Crystal and Gilt Iron 1810 circa
A rare pair of large Italian Empire crystal and mecca gilded iron chandeliers, featuring two tiers supporting sixteen arms, dating back to early 19th century of Italian origin, coming from a Piedmontese private palazzo.
The hand-made circular structure consists of five circular mecca gilded iron crowns, the upper ring and the larger one are adorned with cast iron palmette and decorations. Rings are joined together by crystal chains festoons.
The larger crown supports eight curved scrolling cast iron arms and it is surmounted by further additional eight cast iron scrolling patterns, ending with eight additional lights. Good condition, wear consistent with age and use. One small restoration at the base of a cast iron palmetta in the upper crown.
Now they are perfectly working, restored with new double wiring for Italian standard, ready to be hanged!
These super masterpieces of art, born for candles lighting at the beginning of 1800, thanks to its evergreen and classical design, can be placed in contemporary luxury interiors.
Height of 128 centimeters does not include any chain, size relative to chandelier’s structure only. Each chandelier weighs 24 kg.

Gorgeous pair of Italian Maria Theresa twentyfive-light crystal chandeliers with a shaped central stem surmounted by beautifully contoured scrolling arms. These lovely two-tier chandeliers (or hanging fixtures) of crystal, cut-crystal and gilt metal featuring sixteen serpentine arms are elaborately embellished overall with draped crystal beads, cut crystal pendants, prisms, crystal chains and drops. The base with a faceted cut crystal ball.
Twenty four lights arranged in two orders of tiers, 16 + 8 lights suitable and an extra bulb in the center of the structure. Very fully arranged with crystal strips, rosettes and fully dressed with crystal chains and drops. The entire fixture draped in swags of crystal pendants, prisms and rosettes.
Perfect condition, they both comes from a private house in Milan and date back to 1950 circa; restored and perfectly working condition for Italian wiring standards. This two-tier version of the Maria Theresa chandelier is decorated with various hand-cut glasses that capture and reflect the light of 24 candle bulbs resting in floral shaped bobeches. Dating back to 1950s.
New wiring for Italian standard (24 E14 bulbs + 1 E27 central bulb) total weight 25 kgs EACH. Chain can be as long as requested. Measurements are the chandelier structure only.
Shipping recommendation : for a safe packaging, each crystal drop and arm will be wrapped with paper first, than rolled with plastic bubble wrap, hanged on hook within a tailor-made wooden crate full of packing peanuts, chips.

These chandeliers are globe shaped decorated by many arms ending with square shaped hand cut glass flowers. They date back to 1970s and are in good condition. Minor losses and glass chips. Italian standard wiring, 9 small base Edison bulbs up to max. 40 W per bulb total max power of 540 watt.
A pair of charming Italian gilt iron and crystal chandeliers adorned with amethyst colored glass pendants from Murano, embellished with a multitude of fruit grapes pendants in colored glass. Each branch has one light and transparent crystal drip pan. Grapes with leaves are in solid Murano glass. They are an Italian manufactory from the mid- 20th century, they both come from a Milanese private palazzo. Each chandelier has 6 arms and lights, suitable for Edison 14 bulbs. The chandeliers are in good condition, with working wiring, for Italian standard, and date back to mid 20th century. Dimensions: 82 cm high (without any chain, chandelier height only with glass pendants) by 50 cm diameter.
