French Napoleon III Antique Decanter Set Liquor Cabinet
This ebonized liquor tantalus, this French cave de liquor dates back to the Napoleon III period, 1870 circa. The box has a shaped front, a top inlaid with a central brass tabeaus with the letter M finely engraved. The top opens up smoothly and reveals 4 decanters, bottles and crystal glasses, some chipped.
This antique French box should be restored and comes from a Milanese private collection.

Early 20th century juggling clown realized in Germany with painted papier-mâché, resting on a paper lined base, equipped with a mechanism, to impress a fun movement.
Turning the key on the back, the clown performs a balance game by spinning three plates on three sticks using the hands and the head. With glass eyes, this antique mechanical toy from the early 1900 is in good state of conservation, with minimal wear of the garments of the dress. Of German origin, comes from a private Milanese collection. Automata have attracted the interest of the most refined collectors, since they were kept in the Wunderkammerns.
French Antique Nécessaire de Voyage a 19th century Mahogany travel case, the top and front have been inlaid with a brass perimeter border and inlaid with a delicate brass foliate design engraved in the central plate. The central monogram on the brass plate bears the initials 'A.B.' topped by a brass engraved crown. The interior, lined in green moire silk contains ten silvered engraved lidded glass bottles. A mirror is stowed within the lid section. Inside the box a removable tray full of useful travel, toiletries and purely decorative accessories, with silvered engraved lidded glass bottles. Underneath the top tray of bottles and jars, sit a vanity and sewing tool tray, The vanity tool tray is fitted with many bone handled items and scissors A further compartment within the lower level of the box; is fitted with brush and empty compartments.
The box has a working lock, with the brass lock plate engraved. Wear consistent with age and use. Images details show the condition of this work of art. Except two broken bone accessories, a shoe horn and letter opener this French dressing case is in good condition.
