A set of four cast sterling silver place card holders, birds hallmarked at the base by the silversmiths E.H.W. & Co, London, 1914-1915. They are four different species of birds, in different positions. Each bird stands on a circular base, has a very detailed chasing and a vermeil finish in the plumage.
A small bar welded to the base serves as a clip to hold the placeholder card. Hallmarked at the base by the silver maker E.H.W. & Co, London, 1914-1915.
These delicious and rare antique silver objects come from a private Milanese residence.
