Esther and King Ahasuerus large oil on canvas biblical painting with figures, dating back to late 18th century, Italian School, 1780 circa, in fair age related condition, framed.
According to the Hebrew Bible, Esther was a Jewish Queen of the Persian King Ahasuerus and this painting depicts her kneeling before Ahasuerus to beg him to spare her people.
This work of great impact, is of Italian origin, was hanged in a private residence of Milan. It is in fair age related condition, the canvas of this antique biblical painting has been relined and shows some minor painting losses on the lower edge.
Set in a modern pale green wooden frame. Measures: Canvas :Height 115 cm, width 171 cm.
