Portrait of a young woman with turban, an oil on canvas painting from the early 19th century Southern Italian School. The girl is depicted from half bust, in profile and with the head of three-quarters; the head is surrounded by a white cloth turban which hides light brown curls, her face draws the oval complexion of a young woman, her lips seem slightly rigged, while both the eyebrows and the cheeks are well highlighted.
The big dark eyes are looking intently the observer and highlight a remarkable pictorial quality and a clever use of chiaroscuro. The canvas is not mounted on any frame, it is only blocked by the stop of the frame in an ebonized wood.

This ancient painting comes from a private home in Lombardy bat the origin of the work is Southern Italy and dates back to the early 1800s.
