Antique English chest of drawers, a Victorian mahogany veneer commode, dating back to the late-19th century.
Five graduated drawers, three large and wide, topped by two smaller upper drawers, it is a strong storage antique cabinet, with a very modern design. Internal drawers made in solid walnut and other secondary woods.
Top and each drawer are framed by a fruitwood rectangular inlay featuring a great chromatic contrast.
This 1870s English Victorian chest of drawers has original bone inlaid turned and ebonized knobs and lovely bone inlaid keyhole escutcheons.
Splayed feet, four original locks, one later, this beautiful piece of furniture for its small sizes, it is ideal for a bedroom or to embellish a living room.
Fir wood back.
The material is original of the period and thus shows normal signs of age and use, it comes from a private residence of Milan, Italy and it is in very good condition, we have repaired any minor veneer detachments, drawers running and we have polished with shellac with a soft bee wax finish. See closed-up details before restoration.

Antique chest of drawer with flap, Italian solid larch wood slant front bureau desk dating back to mid 19th century. Antique wooden furniture typical of the Italian Alps of North Italy, this bureau, completely handcrafted in larch it is far from rustic. Front with three deep drawers, a fall-front opening to reveal a fitted interior with a compartment and seven drawers. Carved, curved, side freezes are applied on the corners. We have bought it in a private house of Milan, we have removed previous varnish and the bureau has now the original natural larch color, rough finish. Anyhow it could be either polished or painted. Good condition. Height: 122 cm x Width: 110 cm Depth: 54 cms / 80 open flap.
A late 19th century Napoleon III gilt bronze mounted mahogany bureau à cylindre, a French Bureau de Dame, a writing desk with cartonnier which opens up by sliding the central drawer. Inside, a writing tablette with dark leather and three little drawers.
The upper structure with three small drawers, standing on curved legs, this exclusive bureau is richly decorated with gilt bronze mounted elements with foliate scrolling and vegetal patterns.
It comes from a private villa in Milan and it is in overall good condition, with minor losses, wear consistent with age and use.
