Oil on canvas religious painting depicting the Virgin with Child, dating back to second half of 19th century, it is a replica after Raphael’s Madonna of the Chair, the famous Madonna della Seggiola, the Renaissance work painted around 1513, housed in the Palazzo Pitti collection in Florence. In good condition, this unframed religious painting comes from a private collection in Milan. The work shows Mary seated on a chair, turned toward the observer, a robe from the red drapery and a shawl with vertical embroidery, the Child, narrow, in a tender embrace. Madonna bowed his head toward his son, touching his head and creating a lovely and sweet atmosphere. In the background on the left you can discover a blue curtain. The work is of good painting execution, attention to detail and painted in warm colors that make it a religious painting by extreme pleasantness; It shows old restorations and it has been lined on a new stretcher.
