Antique Italian small bench from Sicily, a faldistorio ebonized poplar stool dating back to the last quarter of 19th century, with a dark lacquer wooden frame decorated with elegant gilded profiles even in the twisting rod between curved legs.
It comes from a private house in Milan and it is upholstered with red velvet.
Fair padding and upholstery with a comfortable seating, this antique Sicilian stool shows signs and wear consistent with age and use, with gilding wear and losses. See closed-up details.

This is a beautiful set of four solid mahogany chairs in the fabulous Empire style made in Italy in the late 20th century. The mahogany is beautiful in color and has been embellished with striking ormolu mounts typical of the era, finely cast and gilded elaborate bronze mount to the backs. Curved cabriole legs ending with carved hoof feet.
They have been new upholstered in a fabulous red and gold patterned damask silk of French origin. Condition: In good age related condition having been beautifully polished and upholstered, see photos for confirmation, only two small bronze elements missing, two arrows. They date back to the second half of 20th century and come from a private residence of Milan.
