18th Century Pair of Large Two-Arm Italian Iron Sconces From Tuscany
Pair of Renaissance style mid-18th century two-arm Italian sconces, curved hand-forged arms decorated with wooden elements and ending with turned giltwood bobeches. Feature a lovely giltwood back panel with shaped foliate carving.
Tuscan origin, dating back to 1750s they come from a private villa in Tuscany where they were unwired and used as wall candleholders, antique wall candelabra. Good condition, great patina, minor gilding losses consistent with age and use.
These two antique Italian iron wall candleholders have been wired for European standards, suitable for Edison 14 light bulbs.

A pair of Louis XV style gilded bronze three-armed antique wall sconces, of French origin, dating back to first half of 1900. Acanthus leaf scrolling arms with leaf bobeche drip pans and bulbous candle sconces, original and beautiful bronze casting and superb quality fire brilliant gilding. They hanged the walls of a a private residence in Milan. They are just candle holders now, no wiring, Excellent condition.
