An Italian bureau with flap dating back to the second half of 18th century. A slightly curved front, three deep drawers and a fall-front opening to reveal an interior with two small drawers, compartments one small door and hiding secrets (see pictures below).
This antique bureau is fully decorated with veneered and burl walnut, decorated by cherry inlays and hand-made jutting frames.
It comes from a private Milanese palazzo, it was used it both as storage cabinet and writing bureau.
It is in good age related condition, since restored.

Antique chest of drawer with flap, Italian solid larch wood slant front bureau desk dating back to mid 19th century. Antique wooden furniture typical of the Italian Alps of North Italy, this bureau, completely handcrafted in larch it is far from rustic. Front with three deep drawers, a fall-front opening to reveal a fitted interior with a compartment and seven drawers. Carved, curved, side freezes are applied on the corners. We have bought it in a private house of Milan, we have removed previous varnish and the bureau has now the original natural larch color, rough finish. Anyhow it could be either polished or painted. Good condition. Height: 122 cm x Width: 110 cm Depth: 54 cms / 80 open flap.
An exclusive Italian Genoese walnut veneered and inlaid bureau with flap dating back to 18th century, waving front, three deep and large drawers and two convex smaller ones; a fall-front opening to reveal a fitted interior with compartments and one drawer. It stands on bracket feet, sides are in solid walnut. The veneer is placed obliquely, in a herringbone pattern, within jutting frames and makes this antique Italian bureau very elegant. It comes from a private house of Milan, it is in good age related condition
